VC JU releases Music Book "ANUNAAD - Sangeet Lekh Sangrah"

JAMMU, June 12: The Institute of Music & Fine Arts (IMFA), University of Jammu, organised a book release function today at the University of Jammu. The highly anticipated music book titled "ANUNAAD - Sangeet Lekh Sangrah" was released by the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, Prof. Umesh Rai.
Edited by distinguished faculty members Dr. Sumeet Madan (HOD, Violin Department, IMFA), Dr. Roshi Shaminotra (Vocal Department, IMFA), and Dr. Anjul Mittal (Sitar Department, IMFA), "ANUNAAD" is a collection of diverse articles that explore the multifaceted world of music. The book promises to be a significant contribution to the field of music education and appreciation.
In his presidential address, Prof. Rai expressed his delight at the release of "ANUNAAD," highlighting the book's celebration of the universal language of music. He noted, "'ANUNAAD' celebrates the diversity and splendor of music through evocative prose and profound insights. The editors have beautifully revealed the profound impact of music on our hearts, minds, and souls."
The book release function was organised in presence of Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik, Principal of IMFA, and Dr. Neeraj Sharma, Special Secretary to Vice Chancellor. Prof. Malik extended his compliments to the editors, describing "ANUNAAD" as a symphony of words that resonates with the deepest chords of the human spirit. "This exquisite book takes readers on a transformative journey, offering a rich collection of articles penned by eminent personalities, professors, and scholars from across India," he remarked.
