| Earlier SI applicants obtain HC directions | | | SUMIT SHARMA Jammu, March 3: As thousands of youths have responded to the Police invitation for recruitment of Sub Inspectors in various wings, those who had applied in 2003 and 2007 but went unexamined have moved the High Court seeking inclusion of their candidature in basis of previous applications. Earlier applicants of Sub Inspector posts in 2003 and 2007 moved a petition in the High Court which in turn gave instructions to the authorities to entertain the fresh forms of those aspirants who have earlier applied and are now non eligible for the posts as they have crossed the age limit prescribed. DIG Jammu, Kathua range Abdul Quyoom Manhas when contacted said, “Application forms of earlier applied aspirants were being accepted on court’s directions.” Resentment prevail among youth who applied for Sub Inspector posts when the other advertisement for Sub Inspector posts was published in 2009 in which it was not mentioned that those candidates who have already applied need not apply again thus the bulk of the aspirants are deprived off having opportunity to qualify the Tests and to get enrolled in coveted Jammu and Kashmir Police force which EARLY TIMES has already published. Twenty two aspirants submitted their fresh forms in DIG office( before or on the last date i e 3 March) with the Court’s instructions to authorities to allow them for SI Tests. Pertinent to mention here that in 2007 advertisement notification number BIP/36/71 dtd/17 FEB 2007 it was clearly mentioned that those who have applied in the year 2003 under the notification number ESTT/Computer-03 of 2003-25736-76 dated 19/5/2003 need not apply again. Resentment prevail among the youth when advertisement again floated on dated 31JAN 2009 in which it was mentioned the applications are invited for fresh candidates for SI posts putting the future of those aspirants who have applied earlier into slough of despondency.
