Jammu, Mar 14- Jammu Joint Students Federation today held a demonstration at
GGM Science College in protest against the resolution tabled by the PDP in the State
Assembly, seeking renaming the Anantnag district as Islamabad.
Terming PDP as anti-national, the Federation said that by tabling such type of resolution
in the Assembly, the PDP wanted to communalize the situation in Jammu. It has also
criticized the legislators for keeping silence over this issue and warned that any such
move would have dangerous consequences.
The activists of the Federation, who gathered in the college, raised slogans against the
PDP and also burnt the effigy of Mehbooba Mufti.
Among others who took part in the protest demonstration was Sahil Choudhary, Partap
Singh, Rawat Manhas, Riyaz Raja, Charanjeet Singh, Sumit Sharma, Danish, Satvir Singh Jamwal and Sandeep Manhas.
