Director Horticulture reviews developmental activities, launches HADP folder

JAMMU, June 14: Director Horticulture Jammu, C. L Sharma, convened a comprehensive meeting with Field Level officers from all districts of the Jammu Division today at the Horticulture Complex, Talab Tillo, Jammu. The meeting aimed to review the progress of various developmental activities underway in the current financial year.
During the meeting, a detailed discussion covered multiple agenda points, where officers updated the Director on the status of ongoing works, incurred expenditures, liabilities, and the progress in implementing various developmental schemes. Significant emphasis was placed on the production of quality planting material in the Departmental Nurseries.
A key highlight of the meeting was the training on the implementation of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), delivered by Pardeep Gupta, Nursery Registration Officer Jammu, through a PowerPoint presentation. This training included thorough deliberations on executing the flagship scheme in the field. Officers also raised issues encountered while operating the HADP portal, which were promptly addressed by Gupta.
Sharma instructed the officers to enhance the implementation of departmental schemes to benefit fruit growers significantly. He also urged the officers to prepare for the Revised Modified High-Density Plantation of various fruit crops during the upcoming rainy season.
Additionally, a folder outlining the schemes under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) was launched during the event. This folder is intended to serve as a ready reference for officers to effectively implement the schemes in the field.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Director Horticulture (Central), Deputy Director Planning, Assistant Director, and other senior officers of the department.
This meeting underscores the department's commitment to improving horticultural practices and supporting fruit growers across the Jammu Division through well-implemented schemes and continuous training.
