DC Doda reviews arrangements for 10th International Yoga Day

DODA, June 14. Deputy Commissioner Doda Harvinder Singh chaired a meeting today at the conference hall of the DC office complex in Doda to review preparations for the upcoming 10th International Yoga Day.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Sudershan Kumar, ACR Sunil Bhutyal, ACD Manoj Kumari, DIO Doda, Nisak Ul Farooq, CEO PL Thapa, District AYUSH Officer Ajay Koul, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, and Executive Engineers from PHE, JKPDCL, Mechanical Division, and executive officers from Doda, Bhaderwah, and Thathri.
The main focus was on reviewing arrangements such as power supply, ground preparation, sanitation, network facilities and the public address system.
DC directed the Executive Engineer R&B to arrange a stage at the sports stadium in Doda for the Yoga Day celebration. The DIO Informatics was asked to set up a big LED screen for the live broadcast of the Prime Minister’s program on Yoga Day.
The CEO was tasked with arranging for school students’ participation, while the District Youth Services and Sports Officer was asked to bring in sports youth.
The District Program Project Officer was asked to ensure ASHA workers attended the celebration. Nodal officers were to be nominated for smooth arrangements, and the Xen PHE was instructed to prepare the sports stadium in advance.
It was decided that the district headquarters in Doda would organize International Yoga Day at the Sports Stadium and Gatha Resort Park in Bhaderwah. The District AYUSH Officer was asked to arrange around 1,000 yoga mats for the event. The ASP Doda was directed to involve paramilitary forces and police personnel for security. The Executive Officers were asked to provide toilet facilities and ensure sanitation at the venues. Furthermore, the Executive Engineer JKPDCL was asked to arrange for power backup to avoid any interruptions during the event. These comprehensive arrangements aim to ensure a successful and smooth celebration of International Yoga Day in Doda.
