| International Yoga Day arrangements finalised at Kathua | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, June 15: Additional District Development Commissioner, Kathua, Surinder Mohan today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the arrangements for “International Day of Yoga” to be observed on 21st June 2024 in the district.
It was decided that the event will be organized at Sports Stadium Kathua where a Mega Yoga session will be held from 6 AM onwards to commemorate the day.
During the meeting, ADDC directed the department of AYUSH to provide yoga instructors whereas the Health department to ensure participation of trainees and staff along with deployment of Ambulance.
The concerned stakeholder departments were asked to make all the necessary arrangements. Police department was asked to make provision of security especially at the Parking facilities, the Education Department will ensure the participation of students from educational institutions involving NSS/NCC volunteers, ITI, Polytechnic and Degree Colleges.
Other departments viz PHE, ICDS, are directed to look after the water arrangements and public mobilization respectively besides cleanliness and wide publicity of the event are to be ensured by the Municipality and Information department. |
