Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 15: The country is progressing because we are safe. There are those who live for us, who risk their lives for our security, giving us the freedom to live in the open air. Remembering this sacrifice, let's learn to live for others. We should keep the spirit of serving society and the nation along with our family, only then life will be meaningful. Param Vir Chakra awardee Subedar Major Honorary Captain Yogendra Singh Yadav said this on Saturday during the Shaurya Vandan program organized by ALLEN Career Institute Jammu, honoring the families of martyrs. Addressing the students at the ceremony, Captain Yogendra said that respecting the army is respecting the nation. Just as a warrior fights for the country, a student should also be committed to taking the country forward. Efforts should be made with a target in mind even in studies.
ALLEN Career Institute Private Limited organized the Shaurya Vandan program at Convention Centre, Gulami Bagh, Canal Road, Jammu, under the 25th year of Kargil Victory. Families of 17 martyrs from Jammu and surrounding areas who sacrificed their lives in the Kargil War were honored in the program. The families were given checks of Rs 11,000 each and certificates of honor. The families of the martyrs also shared their experiences during the event. There were several emotional moments when everyone had tears in their eyes. The students present in the program stood up and applauded in honor of the martyrs and saluted their families.
The Chief Guest, Director of ALLEN Dr. Naveen Maheshwari, paid homage to the martyrs and honored their families. He said that ALLEN Career Institute is always at the forefront in fulfilling its social responsibilities. On the occasion of completing 25 years of Kargil Victory, the Shaurya Vandan program has been initiated. Programs will be organized all over India under this initiative. We believe in imparting values along with education. Students can learn a lot from the life of a soldier, especially the spirit of giving. Just as a soldier sacrifices his life for the country, a student should have a positive mindset to take the country forward. On this occasion, ALLEN's Zonal Head Sadanand Vani, Centre Head Kuldeep Sharma, and other senior faculty members were present.
