JAMMU, June 18: Central University of Jammu, Security wing organized an awareness session on fire safety in the University Campus under the patronage of Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sanjeev Jain.
The primary aim of this awareness session was to equip the staff with essential skills to effectively tackle fire emergencies at the workplace.
The organizer of the event was Prof. Yashwant Singh, Registrar Central University of Jammu and coordinated by Security Officer Balwan Singh.
On the occasion, the lecture was delivered by Security Officer, Balwan on use of fire extinguishers in which students and staff of the University carried out practical use of fire extinguishers. This session helps students and staff to learn the potential hazards and risks associated with fires and teaches them how to prevent and respond in fire emergencies.
The Vice Chancellor Central University of Jammu Prof. Sanjeev Jain appreciated the efforts of the Security wing for conducting a safety awareness session amongst the University fraternity including students. Following the lecture, a practical session on use of firefighting equipment was conducted by Mr. Romi Rajput, Security Inspector.
