RAMBAN, June 18: Jammu and Kashmir Police Intensifying its drive against the sale of illicit liquor, Ramban Police has held one bootlegger and recovered illicit liquor from his possession who was travelling in a vehicle under the Jurisdictions of Police Station Ramsoo.
A police party of Police Station Ramsoo while Naka checking duty intercepted a vehicle EECO bearing registration No JK19A 4934.On questioning the driver of above said vehicle disclosed his identity as Gul Nawaz Khan son of Mohd Sadiq Khan resident of Hingni Shagan, Tehsil Khari Distt. Ramban. During checking 16 bottles (750Ml each), 36 quarters (250ML each) of JK Special Whisky & 10 nos beer canes (560Ml each) were recovered from the possession of above named person.
The illicit liquor, vehicle seized and accused person named above arrested.
A case FIR No. 84/2024, pursuant to Section 48 (a) of the Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Ramsoo and investigation set into motion. |
