JAMMU, June 21: SKUAST-Jammu employees, students and scholars participated in "Sashakt Yuva Samriddh Jammu Kashmir" virtual event held physically at SKICC Srinagar. The initiative, aimed at empowering the youth of Jammu & Kashmir, saw a landmark event today as the Hon'ble Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi ji addressed the educational institutes and students of universities and colleges across the region. The program witnessed the participation of more than 700 teaching and non-teaching staff, alongside a large number of students in Baba Jitto Auditorium of SKUAST-Jammu. The event was supervised by Prof. B.N. Tripathi, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor of SKUAST Jammu. In his address, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of education and skill development in the growth and empowerment of the youth. He encouraged students to take full advantage of the resources and opportunities provided by the government to build a robust and self-reliant future. The Prime Minister also highlighted various development initiatives undertaken by the Government of J&K UT. "Sashakt Yuva: Samraddh Jammu and Kashmir" continues to be a pivotal program in the region, fostering a culture of learning and development among the youth, and today's event marked another milestone in its ongoing journey. All the statutory officers of the university were also present in the occasion.
