FICCI FLO JKL celebrates International Yoga Day with the theme "Yoga for Women Empowerment"

JAMMU, June 21: FICCI FLO JKL celebrated International Yoga Day on the theme "Yoga for Women Empowerment" in collaboration with Amar Singh Club. The event saw enthusiastic participation from members of FLO JKL and Amar Singh Club, making it a memorable and impactful occasion.
The session was led by distinguished yoga instructors, including Shally Kour, a Certified Yoga Instructor with Yoga Alliance USA; Manik Salathia, a Flutist & Registered Yoga Trainer, Ministry of Ayush; and Ashok Gupta, Joint Secretary, Indian Yoga Association, J&K. Their expertise and guidance enriched the participants' experience, promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Ruchika Gupta, Chairperson of FICCI FLO JKL, warmly welcomed the attendees and expressed her gratitude to Anil Kapahi, Secretary of Amar Singh Club & Vikram Puri, Executive Committee Member for generously providing the auditorium and support staff for the event. In her address, she emphasized that yoga is more than just exercise; it is a holistic way of life that helps individuals connect with their inner selves, rejuvenate their bodies, and calm their minds. She highlighted the importance of introducing yoga to children at an early age, enabling them to develop essential skills to navigate the complexities of modern life.
The event commenced with soulful mantra chanting, setting a relaxed and harmonious tone for the day. This was followed by Sukshma Vyayam and yoga practice, guided by Shally Kour. The participants then engaged in pranayama and meditation, accompanied by the soothing music of the flute by Manik Salathia, creating a magical atmosphere. The session concluded with a session on yoga prachar and hasya yoga, by Ashok Gupta leaving everyone in high spirits.
In recognition of their valuable contributions, all resource persons and Anil Kapahi were felicitated at the end of the event. The celebration of International Yoga Day by FICCI FLO JKL was a resounding success, underscoring the transformative power of yoga in empowering women and promoting overall well-being.
