| GCW Udhampur organises quiz on Music, Yoga | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, June 22: To commemorate the International Yoga Day and World Music Day-2024, the Music Department of Government College for Women (GCW) Udhampur organised an online quiz on the topic 'Music and Yoga'.
The programme was organized under the supervision of Dr. Nalini Pathania, Principal, Government College for Women, Udhampur.
Dr. Nalini Pathania appreciated the efforts of the music department of this college for organizing this important event in their institute. She urged to organize more such programs in the institute to create awareness about yoga and music among the youth. She said both music and yoga are considered part of alternative medicine and both have extraordinary healing powers. Students of different semesters of the college participated in the Quiz Competition with great enthusiasm.
Later, the Music Department also distributed certificates to the students who scored 75 per cent and above marks.
Earlier, Head of Music Department, Dr. Seema Sharma gave information about the activities done by the Music Department from time to time. She also said that music and yoga are interconnected besides World Music Day and International Yoga Day are both celebrated on the same day, 21st June.
