BANIHAL, June 22: Senior BJP leader and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Gulam Ali Khatana on Saturday thanked the people of Ramban, Banihal, Mir Bazar and Lambad in Kulgam, and other adjoining areas for voting BJP to success.
"By voting in favour of BJP you people have become part of Viksit Bharat," Khatana said while addressing a gathering at Banihal area.
He said that every vote in favour of BJP matters and all such votes helped PM Modi to helm the affairs of the largest democracy of the world for the third time.
"The nation in general and J&K Union Territory in particular is now witnessing progress under the visionary leadership of PM Modi," the Rajya Sabha member maintained adding that the PM during his recent Kashmir visit has laid foundation of 84 major projects worth Rs. 1500 crore in Srinagar and has launched Comprehensive Improvement in Agriculture and allied Sectors (JKCIP) project at the cost of Rs. 1800 crore besides handing over 2000 government job appointment letters to the youth.
"Not only this the PM Modi has also recently released the 17th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi worth Rs. 20,000 crore for more than 9.26 crore farmers across the country including Rs. 182.55 crore for 8.46 lakh farmers of Jammu and Kashmir," Khatana said assuring that this is just the start of PM Modi's third tenure which will remain full of such welfare measures.
On this occasion the locals of Banihal took up many issues like hefty power bills, poor developments of schools in remote areas etc and the MP assured them that soon these issues shall be resolved.
The MP was accompanied by senior BJP leader and Waqaf Executive Office, Aabid Hussain Khan and BJP workers from Devsar Mandal and others.
The gathering assured full support to the BJP candidate in upcoming Assembly elections.
