| Food festival evokes overwhelming response | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar15- The 10- day long food festival organized by the Hotel Ashok here has evoked overwhelming response. Food and Beverages Manager, Avinesh Yadav said here today that ‘he was overwhelmed with the response to the food festival adding that on the first day itself our restaurant was absolutely packed’. The guests have really appreciated the rustic frontier ambience that has been created. Master Chef Ramola’s mouth-watering delicacies specially Pathar Kabab (succulent pieces of chicken, marinated in egg, vinegar and pepper), Kabab-e-Kohat (boneless mutton chunks marinated with ginger garlic and vinegar and cooked in tandoor), Subz-e-Seekh (a combination of fresh vegetables, rolled on to a seekh and cooked in a tandoor), and Dal Dera Ismail Khan were a hit with the guests. The “Kulachi Naan”, and “Roomali Roti” are the perfect accompaniments and the meal can best be concluded with the truly heavenly “Sheer-e-Murmuri” (An Indian favourite made with rice and whole milk) and Zafrani Rasmalai. The festival inaugurated on March 13 will continue till March 22, 2009.
