Srinagar: As the weather showed considerable signs of improvement people on Sunday thronged the various Mughal gardens in Srinagar enjoying the bright sunshine and the nascent flowers that have flowered much ahead of their scheduled time.

The Mughal gardens along the world famous Dal Lake wore a festive look as most of the gardens were flooded by people who were seen with family members to enjoy the season’s bright sunshine.

“We have decided to enjoy the season’s first outing as the weather showed considerable improvement, forcing us to head for the Mughal gardens,” Bashir Ahmad Bhat, a local resident told .

Bhat was among the first few people to come to the garden in the morning. However, as the day progressed people started to make a beeline to these gardens.

“Most of the gardens were visited by locals who along with their families wasted no time to enjoy the bright sunshine on Sunday,” Ghulam Hassan, a gardener working at the Shalimar garden told .

Interestingly, the Mughal gardens are thrown open to public after 13th of April every year, but this time around these gardens have attracted the people’s attention much ahead of schedule.

“We had made preparations much in advance to prepare the gardens because the weather improved a lot and temperatures increased in the valley forcing an early flowering,” an official posted at Nishat garden told .

He said that besides, the locals many tourists visited the gardens and enjoyed the cool environs of the famous Mughal gardens
