Efforts made by Police under operation Meghdoot, Notorious thief arrested

Nagrota, June 24: On 22/06/2024 complainant namely Mohd Farooq s/o Ghulam Qadir Rio Mahore Reasi A/P Asrarabad, Sidhra lodged a written application at PP Sidhra that unknown person have committed theft in his house at Asrarabad Sidhra and stolen one gold set, 2 rings, 2 ear rings and one I ball tab, one bag. The value of stolen articles is approximately 4 lakhs. On this report a case FIR No. 183/2024 U/S 454/380 IPC. got registered at P/S Nagrota.
During investigation Police party of P/S Nagrota headed by PSI Arun Sharma under the supervision SDPO Nagrota Sh. Aakash kohli assisted by SHO P/S Nagrota Insp Rajeshwar Singh under the overall Supervision of SP Rural Jammu Sh. Brijesh Sharma after putting hectic efforts rounded up one suspect namely Mohd Sajjad S/O Ghulam Qadir R/O Gool Ramaban A/P Asrarabad Sidhra.
During questioning the accused person confess his involvement in the instant case and on his disclosure the above said stolen items have been recovered from his possession which was kept by him at the place only known to him. List of the recovered items is as under:
1. Gold set -01
2. Gold ear rings =02
3. Gold rings =02
4. I-ball tablet =01
5. Bag =01
As per the statement of complainant the total value of stolen articles is worth rupees 04 lakhs. Moreover, investigation of the case is in progress.
Besides above, the following recoveries have been made under operation meghdoot: On 04.02.2024 a special team deputed of P/S Nagrota under recovered 01 M/Cycle in case FIR No.09/2024, U/S 382/34/IPC of P/S Gangyal, 01 Alto 800 in case FIR No. 18/2024, U/S 379/IPC of P/S Satwari, 01 Tractor alongwith Trolly in Case FIR No. 10/2024, U/S 379/IPC of P/S RS Pura, 01 Tavera in case FIR No. 30/2024, U/S 379/IPC of P/S Udhampur, 01 M/Cycle P/S Not Known and 01 battery in case FIR No. 43/2024, U/S 379/IPC of P/S Nagrota
The total value stolen articles recovered = 2308000/-
