Administration approves top-up subsidy on PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana

LEH, June 26: The Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh approved the additional top-up subsidy for PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana for consumers of the Union Territory of Ladakh. The scheme is poised to revolutionize the way households across Ladakh access and utilize electricity, fostering a sustainable and energy-efficient future for all and achieving the carbon-neutral Ladakh as envisioned by the Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Under the scheme, the Govt of India has approved Rs. 33000/Kwp for up to 2KWp of the Residential Sector (first 2Kwp of Roof Top Solar capacity or part thereof) and Rs. 19800/kWp for the Residential Sector (with additional RTS capacity of 1kw or part thereof). Similarly, for the Residential Sector, the Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh has approved a top-up subsidy of Rs. 20000/KWp (first 2Kwp of Roof Top Solar capacity or part thereof) and Rs. 10000/kWp for the residential sector (with additional RTS capacity of 1kw or part thereof). However, there is no subsidy for the Residential Sector (Additional RTS capacity beyond 3KWp) by either the central Govt or UT Administration. Also, various public sector and Private banks are offering loan facilities at attractive interest rates for the consumers to make it more attractive, and interested consumers may visit the nearest banks.
In this regard, the UT administration of Ladakh is appealing to all the consumers of the Union Territory of Ladakh to get themselves registered on the portal to avail of the benefit and interested consumers can visit the portal www.pmsuryaghar.gov.in and for
