6/26/2024 10:12:45 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 26: With only a few days left before the newly enacted criminal laws are implemented nationwide, the Press Information Bureau, Jammu, will organize a Mini Vartalap tomorrow (Thursday). This event, to be held at the Press Club, Jammu, aims to shed light on the significance of the Bharativa Nyaya Sanhita, 2023; Bharativa Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023; and Bharativa Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023, and create awareness about these legislations. The Mini Vartalap will also provide a platform for discussing these changes and their implications, highlighting the government's commitment to enhancing the judicial system and ensuring timely justice for all citizens.
The implementation of these new laws marks a transformative shift in India's criminal justice system, ushering in a new era for the Indian judiciary. Scheduled to come into force on July 1, 2024, these laws will bring about significant changes, ensuring a more efficient and technology-driven judicial process. The new laws are designed to establish a judicial system that delivers justice within three years, significantly improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the legal process in India.
Some of the key highlights of these laws include the transition of the entire process from FIR to court judgment to an online platform, Fixed time frame; trying to provide justice in 3 years and the use of technology, positioning India as a leader in the use of modern technology within its criminal justice system. This digital transformation aims to eradicate the prolonged delays often associated with the judicial process, putting an end to the trend of "tareekh-pe-tareekh" (date after date).
