| GDC Thathri organised seminar cum awareness programme | | | Early Times Report
THATHRI, June 27: Literary Committee GDC Thathri organised a seminar cum awareness programme on the theme Drugs Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. The whole event was organised under the able guidance and patronage of College Principal Dr Javid Iqbal. The principal in his address highlighted the utmost importance to spread awareness among the people especially youth against the different forms of drugs and illegal trafficking. Dr Javid Iqbal also encouraged the students to enlighten the illiterate and ignorant masses by informing them about various rehabilitation centres to cope up with these intoxicants. Prof Sudesh Kumar, HoD Pol Science from GDC Doda was also invited for a guest lecture. Prof Kumar elaborated the consequences of this menace of drug intoxication and cited certain examples from day to day life affected due to drugs. People from Civil Society Thathri also participated in the event and showed full support to uproot such a disease from the society. Faculty members from different departments viz , EVS, Urdu, Economics and Dogri were present in the event. The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Prof Deepak Raj, HoD English who also appreciated the efforts of everyone in making this event a success. |
