GGM organises an “AWARENESS CAMPAIGN on International Day against Drug Abuse”

Jammu, June 28: The NCC boys cadets and NSS Volunteers of GGM Science College, Jammu successfully conducted a three-day awareness campaign to mark the ‘International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.’ The campaign held from 26th of June to 28th of June, aimed to educate the community on the dangers of drug abuse and promote a drug-free lifestyle.
The event was inaugurated by the honourable principal Dr Romesh Kumar Gupta, who lauded the efforts of NCC cadets and NSS Volunteers in spearheading this critical initiative. “ The Fight Against Drug Abuse required collective efforts and awareness.
The Dedication and enthusiasm shown by the NCC Cadets and NSS Volunteers in organizing this compagain is commendable and crucial in our battle to create a drug free society” he remarked. ANO Lt Dr Devinder Kumar Sharma, emphasized the importance of youth involvement in combating drug abuse.
“Our youth is the future of the nation. By engaging them in such campaigns, we not only educate them but also empower them to be agents of change in their community,” he remarked.
The three day campaign featured a series of events, including: Workshops an Seminars, Interactive Sessions and Awareness Rallies.
The campaign received widespread support and participation from college students and NSS Program Officers, Dr Rahul Kait and Dr Neha Sharma, played a pivotal role in the successful execution of the workshop. The NCC aims to continue its efforts in drug abuse preventions and plans to organize more such initiatives in the future.
