6/28/2024 10:19:29 PM

Early Times Report

JAMMU, June 28: Kavinder Gupta, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, has called upon the senior functionaries of Jammu Power Development Corporation Limited (JPDCL), Jammu, to ensure provide regular and uninterrupted power supply to the people of Jammu amidst extreme heat.
Earlier today, several delegations from different areas of the Gandhi Nagar constituency met with Kavinder Gupta, highlighting the acute shortage of water and power supply. The residents expressed their resentment over the frequent power outages, which have severely impacted their daily lives despite the installation of Smart Meters intended to improve the situation.
In response to these urgent concerns, Kavinder immediately contacted Manhar Gupta, Chief Engineer of JKPDC telephonically and conveyed the grievances of the people, emphasizing the need for swift action to address the power crisis.
The Chief Engineer Manhar Gupta assured the former Deputy Chief Minister that the entire Power Development Corporation is working tirelessly to resolve the ongoing power issues. He affirmed that efforts are being intensified to ensure that the power shortage is addressed promptly and that residents will soon experience a stable and reliable power supply.
Despite the assurances, Kavinder Gupta urged the public to use water and electricity judiciously. He emphasized the importance of conservation and responsible usage of resources during this challenging period.
He also encouraged people to have faith in the government’s efforts, assuring them that the authorities are fully committed to resolving the crisis and improving the overall infrastructure.
“The government is aware of the difficulties faced by the people due to the power shortages, and all possible measures are being taken to address the situation. The authorities are working round the clock to ensure that the power supply is stabilized,” he stated.
