Online portal for IGNOU July 2024 admission cycle to close today, many new programmes launched

JAMMU, June 29: The online portal for admission to IGNOU programmes ranging from UG, PG, Diploma, Certificate programmes for July 2024 admission session for the academic year 2024-25 closes on 30th June, 2024, as per the University schedule. IGNOU had announced admissions on May 1, 2024. Seeking applicants can access the online SAMARTH admission portal at www.ignou.ac.in or directly follow the link https://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. Candidates aspiring for admission will be able to complete their admission process on this portal before the deadline. IGNOU offers admission to various UG, PG, Certificate, Diploma, PG Diploma programmes in distance learning and online education mode and as per the new UGC guidelines, candidates can now study two online or offline programmes at the same time.
Learners seeking admission must provide their own email ID and mobile number at the time of registration even if they are submitting their admission forms online from a Cyber Cafe. Learners must exercise caution and be vigilant while submitting their admission forms. They must note their User ID and Password for future use.
It is pertinent to mention here that IGNOU had launched 39 new programmes in the year 2023 including Four-year undergraduate programmes (FYUP) in Commerce, Economics, History, Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, Anthropology, Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu, Social Work, Philosophy, Journalism & Digital Media, Biochemistry, Facilities and Service Management.
IGNOU has recently launched programmes in MBAABM-Master of Business Administration (Agribusiness Management), MBACN-Master of Business Administration (Construction Management), MBALS-Master of Business Administration (Logistics & Supply Chain Management), MBAHCHM - Master of Business Administration (Health Care and Hospital Management), MSCHSC- M. Sc. (Home Science - Community Development and Extension Management), DFDR-Diploma (Fashion Design and Retail), PGDRPC-Post Graduate Diploma (Rehabilitation Psychology), CESEIHI-Certificate (Early Childhood Special Education Enabling Inclusion - Hearing Impairment), CESEIVI-Certificate (Early Childhood Special Education Enabling Inclusion - Visual Impairment), CESEIID-Certificate (Early Childhood Special Education Enabling Inclusion - Intellectual Disability. All these programmes are specifically designed to address the emerging demand from various govt., private and public sectors keeping in mind the enhancement in career prospects and employability of learners.
