| Week long state writers’ camp begins at Rajouri | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Mar 16-The week long State Writers Camp organized by Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages was declared open here today in presence of galaxy of intellectuals, high officials and other dignitaries. The inaugural session was presided over by Jaipal Singh, Deputy Commissioner while Zaffar Iqbal
Khan Manhas, Secretary Academy was also present in the presidium.
The program has been organized in collaboration of Himalayan Education Mission in which eminent Writers of nine Regional languages are participating.
Welcoming the guests Zaffar said that objectives of this camps, which is being organized after 15 years, is to bridge the gap between writers of various languages of the state and to eradicate all the ethno linguistic barriers . He advised the writers of all the nine languages to sit together and pave a way for unity and oneness of the State.
Jaipal Singh in his presidential address said appreciated the Academy and Himalayan Mission for this intellectual meet. He assured all type of help from district administration.
Earlier, a musical program was held in which Master Kartar Chand, Ashoni Kumar, Eshafaq and Prevez Malik enthralled the audience with their multi- lingual musical presentations.
