Indian Army organises Summer Camp at Lam

Rajouri, June 29: Indian Army has been taking continuous steps to improve the educational and societal standards of the locals by implementing various Sadbhavana projects. In order to encourage the youth in the remote areas, Indian Army conducted a Summer Camp for locals to motivate them to ‘Join Armed Forces’. The Indian Army conducted a Summer Camp from 27 Jun to 29 Jun 2024 at Lam and which was attended by 50 boys. The camp succeeded in instilling a spirit of ‘Patriotism and Adventurism’ in the hearts of the youth in addition to their ‘Personality Development’. Officials of Indian Army interacted with children to explain the aim of the summer camp and exhorted all participants for hearty participation for their own holistic personality development.
The main intention of organising the camp was to develop innovative thinking through motivational classes, camaraderie, sense of adventurism and instill motivation to join the Armed Forces.
During their stay in the camp children enthusiastically participated in various indoor and outdoor activities including physical training, Battle Obstacle Course, Yoga practice, Tent pitching and also learnt about the various weapons in The Indian Army. Children were prearranged with the opportunity to experience the life of the soldiers by staying outdoors in tents. In the ongoing efforts to wean youth away from drug abuses and towards healthy life style, yoga and lecture for healthy living was also conducted. This camp played an important role in motivating the youth towards joining the Armed Forces. Summer camp got culminated with a camp fire wherein they showcased their talent and glimpses of their culture.
