From the past few years she has been running a campaign "Her Dream Her Code," which is dedicated to teaching young girls science experiments and drumming. A champion drummer herself, Al Hana's dedication to her cause has also earned her the prestigious Karmaveer Chakra award, instituted in partnership with the United Nations, for her work.
