BLSKS observes International Plastic Bag Free Day

JAMMU, July 3: To observed the "International Plastic Bag Free Day", & to promote the Traditional Culture of J&K, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan mount 3 days special awareness campaign on Pollution in coordination with Sangam Tru Art Production presented its 439th Regular Series Musical Concert "Pardushan Hatao Jan Bachao" on the theme of " To improve pollution awareness and push governments to adjust policies to reduce pollution's impact" at Durga Bhawan, Janipur Jammu . The Program was inaugurated by as Chief Guest V.K. Magotra, Former Regional Director of Directorate of Field Publicity ,Ministry of Information and Broadcasting ,Government of India and Mukesh Singh, Media Person of the Shadow Newspaper & Former Chief Medical Officer, Jammu and Kashmir Government , Dr. Tara Singh Charak presided over the function. The day commemorated as well with sole aim of rejuvenating the traditional, primitive Folk, Art, Culture of J&K Region in particular and Indian nation in general. Awareness items Specially prepared on the themes like "Pardushan Cha Bacho", "Chara Da Bukhar - Roko Roko Pardushan Gi Roko", "Aaj kal di Hawa Badi Kharab", Skits, Songs and dances were presented to aware the masses. The chief guest said Every year on July 3, individuals and communities around the globe come together to observe International Plastic Bag Free Day. This day serves as a poignant reminder of the detrimental impact of plastic bags on our environment and encourages concerted efforts towards reducing their usage. Communication about air quality has the potential to reduce the adverse effects of air pollution through generating awareness and catalyzing public opinion in support of policies for air pollution reduction and through education for individual risk mitigation behaviors; all are components of environmental health . One of the biggest benefits of a plastic-free lifestyle is the reduction in plastic pollution. As plastic waste breaks down, it releases harmful chemicals into the environment, which can have negative impacts on wildlife and human health. During the 3 days campaign, BLSKS will be presents 2 more shows in Manwal, Arnia Villages & Blocks of Jammu District to aware the masses. The Songs on the said theme was written, produced and Directed by Dr. Dogra which were also presented and uploaded online on Social Media for benefit of the peoples.
It includes conducting rallies to create mass awareness of environmental pollution with the participation of people, arranging community meetings with the participation of local people and local administration etc. Environmental awareness is critical because it can help to minimize pollution and global warming. It can also lead to a more sustainable world by promoting renewable resources such as solar, wind, and water. Communication about air quality has the potential to reduce the adverse effects of air pollution through generating awareness and catalyzing public opinion in support of policies for air pollution reduction and through education for individual risk mitigation behaviors; all are components of environmental health. Social awareness, or socialization, is an important skill for kids to develop in order to build positive relationships and make responsible decisions. In addition to improving relationships and communication skills, social awareness is also important for our own emotional well-being. Plastic-free July is a global commitment to reduce plastic pollution in the month of July. People across the globe commit to reducing plastic waste in their daily lives, either through a small swap or through a complete plastic elimination. Sikkim is the plastic free state.
The singers ,musician ,actors and students of music and computer institute who performed in the musical play were M.C. Kotwal, K.K. Joshi, Usha Raina, Chahat Chadha, Kuldeep Raj, Raju Bajgal, Rahul Kumar, Renu Bala, Naiya Digra, Shivam Sharma, Shriya Sharma, Sneha Sharma and many others presented the enthralled performance at last of the programe Deepak Kumar Dogra, Program's Incharge presented vote of thanks for successful conduction of the program.
