Lalit Kumar Mahajan elected chairman, Pardeep Vaid as secretary general of Federation of Industries

JAMMU, July 3: Lalit Kumar Mahajan has been elected and has assumed the role of Chairman of the Federation of Industries Jammu (FOIJ) for the term 2024-25. This announcement was made during the meeting of the Federation of Industries Jammu held today. The meeting was attended by S.C. Dutta, Ajit Lal Bawa (Co-Chairmen), Viraaj Malhotra (Secretary General), Pardeep Vaid (Convenor), and other FOIJ members.
In accordance with the Federation's constitution, the following appointments were made:
Lalit Kumar Mahajan (President, Bari Brahmana Industries Association - BBIA) as Chairman of FOIJ.
T.S. Reen (President, AOI), Jatinder Aul (President, Association of Industries Digiana), S.C. Dutta (President, Birpur Association), Ajit Lal Bawa (President, SSI Association Kathua), and Raman Jolly (SSI Association Samba) as Co-Chairmen of FOIJ.
Pardeep Vaid (General Secretary, AOI Gangyal) as Secretary General.
Viraaj Malhotra (General Secretary, BBIA) as Convenor.
Upon taking over as Chairman, Mahajan expressed his gratitude to the outgoing Chairman, T.S. Reen, for his significant contributions to the industrial sector. Mahajan assured the members that the Federation would continue to work diligently for the benefit of the industrial fraternity, aiming to create a hassle-free environment and promote the rapid growth of the industrial sector in Jammu and Kashmir.
Mahajan also pledged to prioritize resolving pending issues related to the industrial sector by engaging with the JKUT Administration. Key issues include:
GST Link Incentives for existing units under substantial expansion/change in line of activity/additional line of manufacturing.
Turn Over Incentive.
Marketing Support through grant of Price/Purchase Preference.
Other related industrial sector issues in Jammu and Kashmir.
This new leadership aims to drive significant improvements and support for the industrial sector, ensuring its steady growth and development in the region.
