| General Manager reviews performance of Northern Railway | | |  Agencies
NEW DELHI, July 3: Shobhan Chaudhuri, General Manager Northern Railway held a review meeting with the departmental heads of Northern Railway and DRMs at Baroda House, NR headquarter office in New Delhi today. Amongst many issues deliberations were on Safety on tracks, train operations and punctuality etc. He also reviews the progress of mobility enhancement and other developmental infrastructure works and Freight loading. The meeting highlighted the railway's ongoing effort to deliver reliable and safe transportation service to the public.
Discussions revolved around implementing robust safety measures, conducting regular drills, and enhancing safety awareness across all levels of operations. He said safety and punctuality are non-negotiable priorities. GM highlighted the significance of adhering to schedules and timetables to enhance the overall passenger's experience.
GM also instructed the concerned department to take all precautionary measures to avoid water logging on tracks, tree cutting and lubrication of all crossings and joints in keeping with the ongoing monsoon season.
The General Manager reviewed the progress of enhancement of passenger amenities work and projects of Doubling & New lines and instructed the concerned officials to expedite the work. Safety is the prime focus over Railways. The GM emphasized on improving the maintenance standards of tracks, level crossings and construction of boundary walls along the track in high speed sections. He advised all divisions to take all necessary remedial actions to proper & efficient working of signaling systems.
