Three day workshop on Examination Reforms held

JAMMU, July 4: A three day workshop on the theme "Examination Reforms in Schools of JK-UT" was organised and concluded today on 04.07.2024 at JKSCERT, Divisional Office Jammu under the guidance of Joint Director JK SCERT Jammu Division Prof. (Dr.) Sindhu Kapoor. The vital workshop has been graced by eminent educationist of national repute. In this programme, 30 participants were invited from 10 districts of Jammu Division including DIET principals and members of the Middle Standard Examination (MSE) Cells. Prof. (Dr.) Parikshat Singh Manhas, Director JKSCERT ws the Chief Guest at the valedictory function. He congratulated the organization team and impressed upon DIETs to lift up the standards teaching learning strategies and provide education to the students by implementing time relevant techniques.
The aim and objective of this programme was to foster a comprehensive and collaborative approach to transform the assessment system and to identify the pros and cons of existing MSE pattern. The vision of this workshop was to analyze the need to reform the existing examination pattern and develop an actionable strategies and policies for implementing examination reforms at various levels of education system as per NEP 2020.
The representatives of all DIETs gave their presentations on the theme of the workshop and deliberated on the challenges and forwarded suggestive measures regarding MSE.
In all 10 technical sessions were held during the 3 day workshop. The workshop was coordinated by Rakesh Chobber, A.O. He was assisted by Bindiya Balwal, Co-coordinator and Lakshmi Puri, Technical Coordinator. The organizing team included Dr. Balgar, Dr. Bhuvi, Arsh Kour, Rohit Sharma, Manu Vasudeva, Academic Officers from JKSCERT Divisional Office Jammu.
The programme was moderated by Lakshmi Puri. Formal vote of thanks was by Manu Vasudeva, Convenor, NEP Cell, Jammu Division.
