| SSP tours border areas, inspects BPP's PS RS Pura to review security scenario | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 4: In order to strengthen the border grid and to augment the existing paraphernalia of the border zones functioning in the Jammu District, SSP Jammu Dr Vinod Kumar-IPS on 03.07.2024 toured the jurisdiction of Sub division RS Pura, in order to take a first hand knowledge regarding the boarding and logistics that are already existing, with a holistic view to upgrade, in order to strengthen the border grid of Jammu District.
He was accompanied by SP Headquarters Jammu, SDPO RS Pura, where as SHO Arnia and SHO RS Pura were also present on the spot.
The visit started with inspection of Border Police Post Allah in the Jurisdiction of Police Station Arnia.
After inspecting the same, the Police District Chief had an inspection of Border Police Post Agra Chak in the jurisdiction of Police Station R S PURA with a holistic view to upgrade the same and to look for its existing capabilities.
It is pertinent to mention that this exercise is being conducted in whole of the Jammu District, whereas a special emphasis has been laid upon the, borders.
SSP Jammu showed satisfaction with the functioning of Border Police posts and instructed officers/officials to work with more commitment and dedication towards assigned duties.He assured further strengthening of BPP's in coming days.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Border Police posts are working as a third line of defence, the primary and secondary being BSF and Army, respectively.
Currently the Border Police post are being augmented & supported led by VDG's along with regular manpower. |
