J&K Taekwondo Association to conduct selection trials for cadet and junior teams

JAMMU, July 5: The J&K Taekwondo Association will conduct selection trials for the Cadet and Junior Taekwondo teams on July 7 and 8 at MA Stadium Jammu. These trials are for participation in the 7th National Cadet Kyorugi/Poomsae Taekwondo Championships 2024, scheduled from August 2 to 4, 2024, at Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium, Port Trust Diamond Jubilee Sports Complex, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, and the 41st National Junior Kyorugi & 14th National Poomsae Taekwondo Championships 2024, from August 18 to 20, 2024, at Divisional Sports Complex, Sambhaji Nagar (Aurangabad), Maharashtra.
The Selection Committee for the trials comprises: Convenor Atul Pangotra (International Coach/Player/Referee), Organizing Secretary Anuj Sharma (Joint Secretary JKTA), Members Chandeep Singh (International Player) Dushyant Kapta (National Player)
This committee will oversee the trials to ensure a fair and transparent selection process. The J&K Taekwondo Association is fully committed to supporting the athletes of J&K. The weigh-in for all athletes will be held at MA Stadium Jammu on July 8, 2024. Both Kyorugi and Poomsae events will take place from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM on July 8 and from 9:00 AM until conclusion on July 9.
All players are advised to bring the following documents for the selection trial: Black Belt Certificate, Medical Fitness Certificate, Domicile Certificate, Passport Size Photographs, JKTA Athlete License, Date of Birth Certificate and Aadhar Card
