Double-engine Govt necessary for continuing development spree in J&K: Kavinder
7/5/2024 10:15:31 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 5: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta on Friday said that a double-engine government is necessary in Jammu and Kashmir to continue with the development spree in the Union Territory.
In a statement issued to media persons, the senior party leader said that BJP's combo governments at the Centre and in several states have ensured all-round development, and it is necessary that the same model should be implemented in this part of the country which deserves progress and peace more than any other place. He hit out at NC, PDP and Congress parties, and accused them all of putting up hurdles in the way of development projects in the UT.
Seeking decisive mandate from the people of the region, Kavinder said that a vote for BJP in the forthcoming Assembly polls will be the vote for peace, progress and prosperity, for which the region is longing for so long. He said that only BJP leadership under the dynamic leadership of PM Narendra Modi and HM Amit Shah can ensure ultimate welfare of the people in J&K and for this, people should come together to decimate those political parties which befooled the people for over 70 years by their fake promises but delivered nothing on ground.
The former deputy Chief Minister also asked the BJP cadre to waste no time and dwell among the masses to educate people about plans and policies of party to alleviate their miseries gifted by the successive governments of NC, PDP and Congress, and also to share the road map of BJP meant to uplift the marginalized sections prevailing in the region due to indifference of successive dispensations.
