Director Sheep Husbandry Department Jammu Reviews Progress

Jammu, July 6: A meeting of all District Sheep Husbandry Officers / Assistant Project Officers/ Deputy Directors/ Assistant Directors of the department was convened by the Dr. Syed Moin –Ul-Haq, Director Sheep Husbandry Department Jammu in order to review the progress of Government farms and implementation of various departmental schemes during the financial year 2024-25 such as Holistic Agriculture Development Programme, credit linked schemes of the department like KCC, AHIDF,NLM status of Artificial Insemination Programme, Status of construction and non-construction activities under UT Capex, Status of ISDS and government livestock.
Director Sheep Husbandry Department Jammu in his maiden meeting asked the officers to aware the people about employment generating schemes launched by the Sheep Husbandry Department and directed them to conduct regular meetings with the breeders of the area for betterment of the community.
He exhorted upon the concerned functionaries for making earnest efforts to develop these sectors for growth of the economic profile of the farmers. The department has a major role in development of small ruminants sector to upgrade the socio-economic status of rural masses of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
He directed all the officers to work with zeal and enthusiasm for the welfare of the sector. Officers present in the meeting included Dr Tara Chand, Joint Director, Extension, Dr Surinder Gupta, Deputy Director Central, Dr Anil Koul, APO Jammu/ Wardwan ,Ms. Shivali Sethi, Deputy Director Planning and Ms. Anita Jamwal, Account Officer amongst others.
