DGP visits Doda, distributes appointment letters among SPOs for their outstanding performance

JAMMU, July 6: The DGP J&K R.R. Swain-IPS along with ADGP L&O Vijay Kumar-IPS, ADGP Jammu Zone Anand Jain visited district Doda on 06.07.2024. At DPL Helipad, the DGP was warmly welcomed by the DIG DKR Range Shridhar Patil-IPS, Harvinder Singh-IAS DC Doda, SSP Doda Javaid Iqbal-JKPS, Commandant IR-5th Bn Ghulam Jeelani and other jurisdictional officers of District Doda. On arrival, a guard of honor was presented to the DGP.
The DIG DKR Range and SSP Doda Javaid Iqbal-JKPS appraised the DGP about the overall situation of the District, achievement on militancy front and success story of jawans who have recently achieved a major achievement in neutralizing 03 terrorists in Gandoh area who had sneaked into the District and the area was once again being trapped in the net of militancy but it is bravery and exceptional courage displayed by our jawans to neutralize these terrorists which is highly praiseworthy. The DIG DKR Rage thanked the DGP J&K for giving in-depth guidance in every area of policing due to which the morale of jawan is high to tackle any challenge on militancy front and this operation has given a major set back to terrorists. Complimenting the achievement of jawans the DIG also said that the jawans who have executed the work of neutralizing 03 terrorists in Gandoh area have also made their families feel proud with their exemplary work.
The DGP J&K while addressing the officers and jawans and their families who were special invitees at this function, highly appreciated their act of bravery and said that such events make the senior officers feel proud and police senior functionaries are day/ night working and committed to extend benefit to the deserving jawans who display act of bravery and dedication in the line of duty. The DGP congratulate the SPOs and their families and emphasized upon the officers /officials to work with same dedication and courage to make the police organization feel proud. The DGP distributed the appointment letters to the SPOs who have shown exceptional courage in neutralizing the 03 terrorists in Gandoh area recently.
The ADGP L&O Vijay Kumar-IPS while addressing the participants complimented the jawans for displaying the act of bravery and advised to keep doing good work in future with all precautionary measures. Anand Jain-IPS ADGP Jammu Zone highly appreciated the act of bravery of the jawans in executing the operation of neutralizing 03 terrorists in Gandoh area and advised the officers /officials to work with same zeal and enthusiasm in future also.
A general Darbar of officers /officials was also held at DPL Doda and the DGP J&K gave a patient hearing to the grievances of officers / officials and on spot directions were passed to the ADGP L&O, ADGP Jammu Zone and DIG DKR Range, District SSP to address the grievances of the officers /officials who reported in the darbar. The vote of thanks was presented by Vinod Kumar ASP Bhaderwah. The programme concluded with lunch joined by the DGP along with ADGP L&O, ADGP Jammu Zone, DIG DKR Range with jawans at DPL Doda.
