National Health Authority appreciates work of Jammu based Joint Replacement Surgeon

Jammu, July 6: National Health Authority (NHA) appreciated the work done by Jammu based Senior Joint Replacement Surgeon Dr Vikas Padha under Ayushman Bharat Scheme. In a social media post shared by NHA on social media platforms of X, Facebook and Instagram, official handles of NHA wrote.
“A successful Total Hip Replacement surgery done free of cost under #AyushmanCard on a patient in #JammuAndKashmir.
The surgery otherwise would have cost between Rs 1.5 - 2 Lakh.
The happy patient got relief from years of hip pain and walked effortlessly to his home.
#PMJAY #AyushmanBharat” This surgery was done by Jammu based Joint Replacement Surgeon Dr Vikas Padha who is working as Senior Consultant Orthopaedics and Joint Replacement at Narayana Hospital Katra, Jammu.
“I have been doing Joint Replacement Surgeries like Total Knee Replacement and Total Hip Replacement at Narayana Hospital Katra since 2017 when I had joined this institute.
In 2021, our hospital got empanelled under Ayushman Bharat Scheme and I started doing Joint Replacement Surgeries FREE OF COST to patient under this scheme. In last 1.5 Years only, I have done around 200 Joint Replacement Surgeries at Narayana Hospital Katra” stated Dr Vikas Padha.
Joint Replacement Surgeries are costly Surgeries that cost around 1.5 to 2 Lakhs and under this scheme , poor patients have been treated that otherwise would have been impossible.
The appreciation of work done under Ayushman Bharat Scheme in Jammu on national platform is a matter of pride for the healthcare sector of Jammu.
