| Gujjars, demand early allocation of tribal funds | | |

Jammu, Mar 17- Jammu and Kashmir Gujjar Bakarwal Conference today demanded allocation of tribal funds immediately with directions to all the district Development Commissioners for utilizing the Tribal Funds specifically in tribal areas.
Talking to the media persons here today, general secretary of the Conference, Choudhary Ghulam Rasool Asghar said that whenever the Union Tribal Affairs Ministry, allot and sanction the special funds under SCA and TSP for the welfare and developments of the scheduled tribes in the state, the State Government either utilize these funds in non-tribal areas or misuse the same as has been witnessed in the past.
He alleged that some political people use the name and banner of their organization to gain monetary benefits and warned such people to desist from their activities otherwise they would be prosecuted in the court of law.
Haji Nizam-ud-Din, vice president and Ch Akhtar Hussain, secretary J&K Gujjar Bakarwal Conference also addressed the pressmen.
