Swift police action leads to arrest in Nagrota vandalism case

JAMMU, July 8: On 06/07/2024 a person namely Subash Chander S/O Paras ram R/O Narian Khoo Tehsil Nagrota produced a written complaint against unknown culprits who trespassed into ancient Temple situated at Narian Khoo Nagrota with criminal intention, dislocated the Idols and the Dhari/Mat of Mandir was set on fire. On receiving this complaint a case FIR No. 194/2024 U/S 298/326(g) BNS registered in this Police Station Nagrota and investigation of the case was taken up.
During investigation scene of crime was inspected, FSL team called on spot and help of sniffer dogs also taken to locate the movement of suspects. After hectic/strenuous efforts put up by different Teams of PS Nagrota besides analysing CCTV footage, Police rounded up 2/4 suspects, one suspect namely Arjun Sharma S/O Ashok Kumar R/O Narian Khoo, Tehsil Nagrota confessed his involvement in the commission of this heinous offence. During initial investigation the Motive behind committing this heinous crime was old Rivalry.
Further sustained questioning of suspect reveals that there was some sort of "Black Magic practice" being done on regular basis in the premises of Temple by the sons of Om Parkash Namberdar. This act of "Black Magic" oftenly makes the accused unhappy, He was very annoyed with the sons of Om parkash Numberdar and wanted to teach them a lesson.
