| Ramban police seized 4 Ltrs Illicit Liquor and 20 Ltrs Lahan in Dharamkund area of Ramban | | |  Early Times Report
Ramban, July 8: Jammu and Kashmir Police in District Ramban while continuing the drive against drug abuse and illicit liquor smuggling, seized 4 ltrs illicit liquor and 20 ltrs lahan.
A Police party of PS Dharamkund was on patrolling duty in Jawari Meghdhar area,during patrolling an information was received from reliable sources that one person namely Dharam Chand son of Balak Ram, resident of Jawari Meghdhar,Tehsil and Distt Ramban who was preparing Desi liquor for illigal selling purpose and was having Desi liquor in his possession .
The police party went to the spot seized 4 ltr Desi liquor,20 ltrs lehan and some accessories used for manufacturing of illicit liquor from the possession of the above named person. In this regard a case FIR No 29/2023 under the relevant Sections Excise Act stands registered at PS Dharamkundand investigation of the case set into motion.
Jammu and Kashmir Police is striving hard and taking every possible step to curb the illegal liquor smuggling menace. Police seek support from public to share information about manufacturer and smuggling of illicit liquor with police for timely intervention for the cause. |
