SKPA launches 5-day course on New Criminal Laws for Jammu

JAMMU, July 9: Today marks the commencement of a 5-day course at SKPA, focusing on New Criminal Laws. A total of 46 officers and officials from District Jammu are actively participating in this training program.
The primary objective of this course is to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the new criminal laws, emphasizing significant changes and updates. The course aims to equip law enforcement personnel with the necessary knowledge and skills to address contemporary challenges in their field. Interactive discussions are being held to facilitate comparisons between the old and new laws, thereby enhancing comprehension and application. This initiative underscores the commitment of the Police to provide relevant and up-to-date training, ensuring that their personnel remain at the forefront of law enforcement practices.
An inaugural function was held at SKPA, with Rajinder Kumar Gupta, IPS, SSP, Dy. Director (Indoor), serving as the chief guest. In his welcome address, Gupta warmly greeted all participants and emphasized the importance of being well-prepared to face contemporary challenges in law enforcement. He also highlighted the significance of understanding the differences between the old and new laws. This initiative reaffirms SKPA's dedication to providing comprehensive and relevant training to its personnel.
The course is being coordinated by Amit Parkash Sehgal, Sr. PO SKPA, with assistance from SI Subash Chander.
