| Shastri urges PC to approve proposed plan size of J&K | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 17- Describing the plan size proposed by the Jammu and Kashmir for next fiscal as quite realistic, President National Mazdoor Conference Subash Shastri has urged the Planning Commission of India to approve the plan size of Rs.6500 crore to the state keeping in view the developmental needs and utilization capacity of the state. In a statement issued here today Shastri hoped that the Centre would provide liberal funding to the state, as in the past, so that Government is able to carry forward speedily its agenda of socio-economic development to ensure progress and prosperity in the state. He exuded confidence that the proposed meeting between the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and the Planning Commission Deputy Chairman would prove fruitful and the state gets the required funds.
