JAMMU, July 10: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) is proud to announce that Bibhor Kumar Singh, a graduate from the 2008 Electronics & Communication batch, has been awarded the Shaurya Chakra. This award recognizes his extraordinary bravery and determination. During a critical combat operation, Singh lost his foot but continued to provide covering fire, allowing his troop to advance and stay safe. His courage and dedication in such a challenging situation are truly remarkable. Singh's recognition with the Shaurya Chakra reflects the strong values and resilience that SMVDU instills in its students. The university is proud of its alumni who show exceptional courage and leadership.Dr. Anil Bhardwaj, Head of the School of Electronics and Communication Engineering (SoECE), said, "Bibhor's bravery and commitment are outstanding. His achievements show the quality of our students, and we are very proud of him. His story reminds us of the strength and resilience of our students."
