JAMMU, July 10: The NSS Unit and Eco Club of GDC Marheen carried out a plantation drive under the campaign of "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" launched by Prime Minister of India in the New College site on 10th of July, 2024. The drive was conducted under the supervision of Prof (Dr) Anupama Gupta, esteemed Principal of the college. A large number of saplings of various plants were planted by NSS Volunteers, the students, staff members and worthy principal of the college. While speaking on the occasion, Principal of the college raised awareness among the students about the urgent need of a forestation and also motivated the students to plant more and more trees to conserve nature.
The event was organized under the supervision of Dr Arun Dev Singh NSS, Programme Officer, Dr Balbinder Singh and Dr Shallu Rani NSS Organizing members. A large number of Volunteers participated in the event. Prof. Anoop Sharma, Dr. Munisha Devi present during the plantation drive. Jogesh and Vishan menial staff assisted on this occasion. |
