| Don’t put domestic cylinders to commercial use : CAPD | | | JAMMU, MARCH 17 -The Director, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department, Mr Hemant Kumar Sharma today convened a meeting of officers to review the supply of domestic LPG cylinders and liquefied petroleum gas. In the meeting, Mr Sharma asked the officers to personally monitor the supply of LPG cylinders, in their respective jurisdiction so that malpractices/misuse of domestic LPG should be stopped. He said that a confidential squad has been constituted for market checking comprising the members of oil companies, district administration, police and CAPD officers. All business establishments such as restaurant, caters, fast-food vendors sweet manufactures, dhaba owners are emphasized not to use domestic LPG cylinders for commercial purposes. Besides to this the unscrupulous vendors are given strict warming not to use un-authorized equipments for refilling of small cylinders, otherwise strict action under law shall be initiated against them. In continuation of derive, the Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department today initiating the drive to enforce the liquefied petroleum gas, regulation and distribution of LPG cylinders
