Ayush Geriatric camp held for old age people

JAMMU, July 12: On the directions of Director Ayush J&K, Dr. Mohan Singh and under the guidance of District Ayush officer Dr. Vandana Dogra, Ayush Department today organised A Geriatric camp for the check up of Elderly people at Old Age Home Amphalla Jammu.
A team of Doctors, paramedics and yoga instructor comprising of Dr. Supriya Thakur, Sr. Medical Officer, Dr.Asha Sharma SR. Medical Officer, Vipin Khajuria Sr. Pharmacist and Ishan Mansotra Yoga instructor of Ayush Deptt. conducted the Health check up and screeing of 55 no.of elderly people like Hypertension, Diabetes, arthritis etc living in the old age home.
The Elderly people were also adviced for preventive and promotive health for adopting regular physical excerise balance diet and stress management in accordance with the Ayush system Particularly as per Dincharya and Ritucharya. During the camp yoga session was also conducted by yoga expert .
The Management of old age Home (president, vice president, Hony. seretary) were also present in the camp and extended their gratitude to the Director Ayush J&K Dr. Mohan singh for organizing such health checkup camp in the Old Age Home.
