Arun Gupta raises alarm over rising terrorist activities in Jammu
7/13/2024 10:00:53 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 13: Arun Gupta, president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), has expressed serious concern over the increasing terrorist activities in the Jammu Division, calling it a significant conspiracy orchestrated by Pakistan. He highlighted Pakistan's discomfort with the return of normalcy in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
In his statement, Arun Gupta appreciated the efforts of security forces and emphasized the need to further strengthen security and other related agencies. He called for enhanced security measures, especially in light of the ongoing Amarnath Yatra. He also urged the public to remain vigilant against the nefarious designs of anti-national elements and avoid falling prey to their schemes.
Arun Gupta strongly condemned the recent terror attacks in the Jammu Division, specifically citing the incidents at the Army Post in Manjakote (Rajouri district), the Police Station in Udhampur district, and the attack on Army trucks in the village of Badnota in the Billwar area of Kathua district. He demanded that the terrorists and their overground workers be eliminated wherever they operate. Appealing to the international community, Arun Gupta called for the isolation and exposure of Pakistan for harboring terrorists, providing them safe havens, and condoning terrorism. He warned that if terrorism is left unchecked, it could become a major threat not only to the nation's peace but also to global peace.
