DC Reasi finalizes arrangements for Shivkhori Shrawan Mahotsav 2024

REASI, July 13: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan, who also serves as the Vice Chairman of Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board (SSKSB), has finalized the arrangements for the highly anticipated Shivkhori Shrawan Mahotsav 2024 during a detailed meeting held at the DC Office complex.
Executive Officer SSKSB, Pardeep Kumar, provided an overview of the arrangements and the devotional activities planned for the Shrawan month.
The meeting covered critical aspects such as security measures, ensuring uninterrupted water and power supply, maintaining cleanliness, designating spaces for Langar and other arrangements.
Deputy Commissioner highlighted that the Shrawan Mahotsav will feature a variety of spiritual and cultural activities, including Yoga and Meditation sessions, Bhajan Sandhya, Shiv Leela, Shiv Katha and the Kawad Yatra. Renowned singers and local artists are set to perform devotional songs dedicated to Lord Shiva, adding to the festive atmosphere. Special daily Rudra Abhishek rituals will be conducted at Shivkhori in Hawan Kund and daily Yoga sessions will take place in the premises of Shiv Shakti Bhawan.
The DC emphasized the importance of healthcare during the Mahotsav, instructing the health department to deploy a team of doctors equipped with medicines and oxygen cylinders at the Shrine and bus stand. Additionally, a three-wheeler (auto) ambulance will be available on the track to ensure quick medical assistance if needed.
Fire and emergency services were directed to arrange all necessary measures in case of any emergencies. He urged all concerned departments to work collaboratively to make this Shrawan Mahotsav a successful and memorable event for all devotees.
