Jammu, July 14: Amid reports about Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, the prevailing security and political situation in the Union Territory was discussed on the last day of the three-day RSS’s Akhil Bharatiya Prant Pracharak meeting held at Ranchi Jharkhand.
Reports said that the crucial meeting discussed positive developments in Jammu and Kashmir after the abrogation of articles 370 and 35-A.
Nearly five years have passed since the abrogation of these two articles. On August 5, 2019, the BJP government at the Centre amended Article 370 and abrogated the Article 35-A.

This annual meeting is generally held to take stock of the work done at regional levels and to make the roadmap for the next year. However, contemporary issues were also discussed in the meeting.
The meeting comes at a time when the BJP has returned to power without a majority of its own and is running a coalition government. It is also facing polls in Maharashtra, Haryana, Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir this year where the INDIA bloc is expected to give it a tough fight.
