Govt Polytechnic inks MOU with SKUAST Jammu

Jammu, July 16: Center for Invention Innovation Incubation and Training (CIIIT), Government Polytechnic College Bikram Chowk Jammu today inked Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Science and Technology (SKUAST), Jammu for upskilling and enhancing employability of students by providing training in latest technologies at Center for Invention, Innovation, Incubation and Training (CIIIT) Jammu established at Government Polytechnic Jammu. The MoU was signed in presence of Sh. Sudershan Kumar (JKAS), Director Skill Development Department, Government between Er Arun Bangotra Principal, Government Polytechnic Jammu and Dr. Sushil Sharma Dean, Faculty of Agricultural Engineering, SKUAST-J.
The Director, Skill Development, J&K congratulated both the institutes for collaborating with each other to drive academic and research endeavors to new heights and to provide high-end, practical oriented training to the students so as to enhance their employability skills.
Er. Arun Bangotra, Principal informed that Government Polytechnic Jammu has established a Center for Invention, Innovation, incubation Training to impart training in latest trends of Manufacturing Technology, Automobile Engineering conforming to Industry 4.0 with the help of Tata Technologies Ltd Pune to promote the idea of innovation, incubation and entrepreneurship amongst students so as to develop new products and technologies.
Dr. Sushil Sharma Dean, Faculty of Agricultural Engineering said that purpose of this MoU between two institutes is to enhance the competency of the students of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu to bring around qualitative improvements through up-skilling in the areas of Internet of things, robotics and advanced manufacturing in agricultural domain.
Dr. Jasvinder Singh Soodan Dean, Faculty of Dairy Technology said that Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu shall conduct the seminars, conferences and workshops at Government Polytechnic Jammu to promote the start-ups and entrepreneurship ecosystem in J&K and shall develop and adopt state of the art training curriculum to meet modern agricultural trends and promote technology start-ups.
