DDC B'la chairs DLIC meeting; approves 43 cases under Mission Youth schemes

BARAMULLA, July 16: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa on Tuesday chaired the District Level Implementation Committee meeting at the meeting Hall of DC Office Complex, here to review the implementation of MUMKIN, Tejaswini and SEI schemes in the district.
At the outset, the chair was comprehensively briefed about the current status of the cases that were approved in previous DLIC meetings, and several new cases of unemployed eligible youth in the district were presented to the Committee for approval under MUMKIN, Tejaswini and SEI schemes.
After thoroughly reviewing the cases, the DDC approved 20 new cases under MUMKIN, 20 Tejaswini cases and 03 cases under SEI schemes, thereby enabling them to explore self-employment avenues to significantly improve their livelihoods.
During the meeting, DDC directed the Lead District Manager to sanction all pending cases under Mission Youth schemes by or before 31st July, 2024 and instructed the officers to diligently prepare and gear up for various activities aimed at empowering unemployed youth of the District.
Chief Planning Officer, Javed Ahmad; Assistant Regional Transport Officer Baramulla, Muazzam Ali; Functional Manager District Industries Centre, Lead District Manager besides other concerned officers and Officials were present in the meeting.
Later, the DDC handedover the keys of highly subsidized small commercial vehicles among 07 young eligible beneficiaries under the MUMKIN scheme thereby empowering them to earn a sustainable livelihood for themselves and their families in a dignified manner.
Interacting directly with the beneficiaries, the DDC congratulated them and encouraged them to utilize the vehicles effectively to sustain their livelihoods. Minga Sherpa further urged the youth to step forward and avail the benefits of similar government-run beneficiary schemes, highlighting the potential for positive impact on their lives and communities.
