Jammu, July 16: In a meeting of Office bearers of Chamber of Commerce & Industry, held today Arun Gupta, President strongly condemned the cowardly terror attack in Desa Forest area of Doda district in which five army personnel including one captain were martyred while bravely fighting to protect the motherland.
Arun Gupta expressed deepest condolences to the members of the bereaved families and paid tributes to the brave army personnel who made supreme sacrifice while defending the nation. A two minutes silence was observed in the meeting to pay homage to the departed souls.
While speaking on the occasion Arun Gupta said that though the Security forces are working effectively to eradicate militancy from its gross root level but still there is urgent need to strengthen the security and other related agencies especially in view of the ongoing Amarnath yatra.
He also appealed the general public as well as the business community to remain vigilant and do not get trapped in the nefarious designs of anti national elements and also remain united in this crucial juncture to fight militancy. He also demanded that the militants and their over-ground workers wherever they are operating should be eliminated.
Arun Gupta appealed the international community to isolate and expose those who harbor terrorists, provide them safe heaven and condones terrorism. He further said that if terrorism is left unchecked, it can become a major threat not only for the nation’s peace but it will also prove a major threat for the global peace.
The other office bearers present in the meeting include Anil Gupta, Sr. Vice President, Rajeev Gupta, Jr. Vice President, Manish Gupta, Secretary General, Rajesh Gupta, Secretary and Rajesh Gupta, Treasurer.
